Matt has 3 children at Parkfield both in primary and secondary. One of the main reasons he is passionate about Parkfield is the opportunity to provide a different type of education to the norm. As a result of his time living in the US and Europe he is an advocate of Montessori and Baccalaureate education styles. Matt works for The Royal Bank of Scotland in a business turnaround role. At Parkfield he is the Chair of the Finance & Premises committee and the community link governor. He is also the Finance Director of a consulting business and the Treasurer at a local church. This term, along with his wife Anne, they launched The Parenting Course at St Swithuns church. Matt’s greatest passions are Liverpool FC and his family (in no particular order)
Safeguarding, SEN and More Able and Talented Link Governor
I was on the Steering Group for the school for approximately 1 year before opening. I am a qualified Montessori Directress for the ages of 3-6 years and I am currently studying for my 6-9 years Montessori Diploma. I am the Manager of Townsend Montessori Nursery and have a passion for the Montessori Ethos and the Early Years and Primary Education of children. I work in partnership with Townsend Children’s Centre, and also sit on their Advisory Board. I have 3 children, 17, 14 and 8 years old. My youngest is in Year 3 at Parkfield. My previous employment includes PA to a Quantity Surveyor, Administration Officer for Bournemouth Montessori Centre, Montessori Directress, Task Co-ordinator for the Community Service Unit (within the Probation Service) and Adult Training for Early Years within the Bournemouth Borough.
Melanie Trayler is HR Director for Serco’s UK Defence business. Melanie began her HR career with KPMG where she developed a commercial and business focused approach to HR. Having worked for Accenture, RNLI and Kier her main roles have been in managing delivery of HR services across geographical disbursed teams, embedding continuous improvement and developing and implementing effective HR strategies that support the business and operational change. Melanie leads the development and manages delivery of the Defence people strategy to ensure the business meets its strategic and operational goals. She is accountable for the delivery of HR services in the Defence business unit ensuring provision of a professional HR service to a geographically dispersed business region of over 4,000 employees. Melanie lives with her daughter in the New Forest. Her interests are horse riding and enjoys competing her horses in the Dressage arena.
